Zakat is one of the five pillars of Islam. When you donate your Zakat to The Patients’ Behbud Society (PBS) for The Aga Khan University Hospital (AKUH), we guarantee your Zakat is used to treat the most underprivileged mustahiq patients, many of whom require complex and comprehensive treatment that is not offered at any other hospital in the city.

A transparent and meticulous process is followed by PBS for AKUH to disburse 100% of donations given to the general Zakat and Sadaqah fund. PBS for AKUH has received Shariah and PCP certifications to ensure credibility. Your Zakat and Sadqa will be distributed to children and adults who are suffering from a range of illnesses including but not limited to cancer, hepatitis C, heart disease and brain tumours. Your Zakat may also be used to treat patients who have sustained injuries in accidents.
